Left hander Michelle Black (fr. West Deptford, NJ/West Deptford) earns NJAC Rookie Pitcher of the Week honors after pitching nine innings without surrendering an earned run during a pair of appearances for the Profs in Orlando, FL. She first allowed just five hits and no earned runs in six innings while striking out seven while garnering a no-decision during the Profs’ 2-0 defeat to Trine. One day later, she allowed just two hits and no runs in three innings of work while striking out two for the victory in Rowan’s 3-2 win over McDaniel. Black currently ranks sixth in the NJAC in innings pitched (14.2).
