Student-Athletes Collect NJAC All-Academic Honors
NJAC All-Academic Teams
GLASSBORO, NJ – Rowan University had 83 student-athletes that were named to the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) All-Academic Teams.
To be eligible for the conference’s all-academic teams, a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior or a senior who has competed in a conference-sponsored sport. They must possess a minimum grade point average of 3.20.
Women’s lacrosse player Annette Merlino (sr. Berlin, NJ/Eastern Reg.) and cross country/track runner Greg Kuczynski (sr. Sayreville, NJ/Sayreville War Mem.) were selected to the NJAC All-Academic first team. It is the second straight year that Kuczynski earned first team honors while Merlino was a member of the 2008 second team. Softball player Steph Taraschi (jr. Mt. Ephraim, NJ/Audubon) and diver Bryan Carlisle (sr. Somers Point, NJ/Mainland Reg.) were chosen to the NJAC All-Academic second team.
There were 79 Profs that received NJAC All-Academic honorable mention. The NJAC All-Academic Teams included a conference record of 510 student-athletes.
