NJAC Athletes of the Week
Tamara Jones (so. Camden, NJ/Woodrow Wilson) earns NJAC Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week honors after traveling to Middletown, CT to compete at the Collegiate Track & Field Conference Championship contested at Wesleyan University. She placed first in a field of 24 competitors in the 400 meters with a school-record and NCAA provisional time of 58.62. She also placed second in a field of 27 competitors in the 200 meters with an ECAC qualifying time of 26.39. Jones also competed as a member of the Profs’ winning 4x200 meter relay which defeated 11 other teams with a winning ECAC qualifying time of 1:48.99. She also ran the second leg of Rowan’s 4x400 meter relay which placed second in a field of 12 teams with a school-record and ECAC qualifying time of 4:17.72. Her performances helped propel the Profs to a second place team finish in the 19-team championship.
