Havlicek Receives Eighth NJAC Rookie of the Week Honor

Outside hitter Katie Havlicek (fr. Midland Park, NJ/Immaculate Heart Academy) earns NJAC Rookie of the Week honors for the eighth time this season and the fourth consecutive week after averaging 4.57 kills and 2.29 digs per game in a 2-0 week of play for Rowan. She opened the week by producing a double-double 24 kills and 11 digs in the Profs’ 3-1 NJAC road victory at Kean. Two days later, she wrapped up her regular season by tallying eight kills and five digs in a 3-0 non-conference road victory at Penn State-Abington. The fifth-seeded Profs will open play in the 2009 NJAC Championship Tournament by traveling to face William Paterson in the opening round. Havlicek currently ranks fourth in the NJAC in kills with an average of 3.21 per game.
