NJAC Players of the Week
Goalkeeper Charlie Cunliffe (jr. Lakewood, NJ/Lakewood) earns NJAC Defensive Player of the Week honors for the second time this season after producing two victories in goal while helping to propel the third-seeded Profs to the semifinals of the 2009 NJAC Championship Tournament. He opened the week by collecting nine saves while surrendering just one goal in a 2-1 NJAC regular season road finale win at Rutgers-Camden. Three days later, he produced his seventh shutout of the season, posting five saves in Rowan’s NJAC Tournament opening round 1-0 win over William Paterson. Cunliffe currently leads the NJAC in save percentage (.868).
Midfielder Ryan Gordon (fr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill W.) becomes the second different Prof to earn NJAC Rookie of the Week honors after helping to propel third-seeded Rowan to the semifinals of the 2009 NJAC Championship Tournament. After not scoring in a 2-1 NJAC regular season finale road victory at Rutgers-Camden, he netted the game winning goal in the 55th minute of the Profs’ 1-0 NJAC Tournament opening round victory over William Paterson.
