GLASSBORO, NJ – Rowan University forward Jess Babice was chosen to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA)/ESPN The Magazine Women’s Soccer Academic All-America second team.

The members of CoSIDA by districts select the Academic All-America teams. The All-District first team honorees move on to the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration. To be nominated for the Academic All-America program, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.3 or higher cumulative grade point average (GPA) and be a starter or significant reserve.

A CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District II first team selection, Babice (jr. Groveville, NJ/Steinert) is majoring in health and exercise science with a 3.91 GPA. She leads the Profs in points (48) and goals (21). Babice has scored eight game-winning goals and has six assists. She was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Offensive Player of the Year and to the All-Conference first team. In the conference statistics, Babice is second in points (2.67) and goals (1.17) per game. She is first in game-winning goals with eight. In the NCAA Division III statistics, she is 16th in goals per game (1.167) and 17th in points per game (2.67).

In 34 career games, Babice had totaled 82 points with 35 goals and 12 assists. She has 13 game-winning goals. In 2008, Babice was selected the NJAC Co-Offensive Player of the Year and to the All-Conference first team.
