GLASSBORO, NJ – Outside hitters Christine Velott and Amanda Burkart each recorded 13 kills to lead Richard Stockton College to a 3-0 victory over Rowan University in a New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) match on Thursday.

Richard Stockton won with set scores of 25-12, 25-20 and 25-17. The Ospreys improve to 12-5 overall and 2-0 in the conference. The Profs have a 5-10 overall record and a 0-3 NJAC mark.

Velott (fr. Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown) compiled 15 digs, while Burkart (sr. Cresskill, NJ/Cresskill) had 13. Setter Christine Aletras (sr. Ridgewood, NJ/Ridgewood) totaled 31 assists and 11 digs. Middle hitter Audrey O’Donnell (sr. Bogota, NJ/Immaculate Heart) added eight kills, 11 digs and four solo blocks. Libero Christine Astarita (so. Selden, NY/Newfield) tallied 18 digs and defensive specialist Allison Kleeman (so. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill W.) had 12.

For Rowan, middle blocker Theresa Pecoraro (sr. Cresskill, NJ/Cresskill) and outside hitter Alexis Louie (sr. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) and Karen Ramirez (jr. Bogota, NJ/Bogota) collected six kills apiece. Louie also had 11 digs, while Ramirez accumulated 10. Setter Chrissy McKay (jr. Paramus, NJ/Paramus) recorded 18 digs and 17 assists. Libero Casey Roselle (so. Sparta, NJ/Sparta) contributed with 12 digs.

Rowan plays at Valley Forge Christian College on Thursday, October 2 at 7 p.m. Richard Stockton travels to Franklin & Marshall College for an 11 a.m. match on Saturday, September 27.
