Tom Doddy is in his 10th year at Rowan University as assistant head coach. He is also the offensive coordinator and tight ends coach. Doddy introduced the multiple no huddle offense at the University, which has ranked first in the New Jersey Athletic Conference several times.
Prior to Rowan, Doddy was a social studies teacher at Highland Regional High School from 1996-2000. During his time at Highland, he was the offensive coordinator for two years and the defensive coordinator for two seasons, in addition to coaching the offensive line and linebackers. Doddy was also an assistant coach for the track and softball teams. From 1986-1996, he was the head softball coach (six years) and assistant softball coach (four years) at Muhlenberg College. His teams won two conference championships and reached the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament twice. Doddy was an assistant football at Muhlenberg from 1985-1996. He served as the offensive and defensive coordinator, recruiting coordinator, offensive line and linebacker coach.
Doddy graduated from Muhlenberg College in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts in history. He was a three year starter at offensive guard on the football team. Doddy earned All-Conference honors his sophomore and junior seasons.
Doddy is an active member of the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) and serves on the assistant coaches committee. He has been a speaker at Mega/Glazier Clinics throughout New Jersey, Massachusetts, Ohio and Illinois. Doddy has also spoken at the NJSIAA Football Clinic and the Nike Clinic in Atlantic City, NJ. He has participated on search committees and chaperoned senior week activities at Rowan.
